Kipsta, supplier of the official UEFA Europa & Conference League ball
The UEFA Board of Directors designated Kipsta, the Decathlon group's football brand, as the new official supplier of the UEFA.
Kipsta premium footballs, designed in France, have been awarded the FIFA Quality Pro label and undergo quality tests at various stages of production.
With the official balls of the Europa & Conference League, Kipsta wishes to demonstrate its know-how at the highest level of competition.
The story behind this ball
In addition, we have conducted numerous lab tests to guarantee the ball's ability to withstand every hit.
Too light? Too heavy? The weight is standardised...
The ball weighs between 120 g and 150 g.
How big is it? What's the circumference?
This ball measures between 43.0 cm and 44.0 cm.
A "round" ball?
We measure the football's sphericity at 4500 different points and then examine any differences.
When over 2% difference occurs, our engineers strive to improve the sphericity to ensure a regular bounce.
A ball that's a breath of fresh air!
This mini ball does not have a bladder filled with air.
It's made of a 100% foam centre, which means it's always ready for play and it's puncture-proof.
We've also tested how much water the ball absorbs...
We simulate rainy playing conditions in a lab, leaving the ball to sit in 2 cm of water on a pivoting support whilst subjecting it to 250 compressions.
At the end of the test, the ball must have absorbed no more than 15% of its weight.
