    Why choose 500 g dumbbells?

Choosing the right weight for your dumbbells is all about making the right choice, depending on your goals and your level! To sculpt your upper body, opt for lighter weights to start with. Are you a beginner in muscle strengthening or in the middle of rehabilitation?500 gram dumbbells are an excellent starting point.Start light so that you can perfect your movements with precision, then, as you progress, increase the load.

Our products are designed with at least 80% recycled cast iron.

Since 2018, our teams have been gradually integrating recycled materials into our products in order to achieve the best possible compromise. After several years of experimentation, Decathlon is replacing its entire range of cast iron products with recycled cast iron, made of at least 80% iron and steel waste - a great feat in the metal world! To ensure the quality is equivalent to standard cast iron, tests are conducted in partner laboratories.

What exercises can you do with 500 g dumbbells?

Here's how to boost your fitness routine with 500 g dumbbells! For your shoulders, try lateral raises: raise your arms to shoulder height and lower gently.Tone your biceps with curls: holding dumbbells in your hand, raise them towards your shoulders.Add a dynamic touch to your push-ups by using dumbbells as supports. And why not incorporate these weights into your Pilates or yoga sessions?

How do you select the ideal weight for your dumbbells?

Make sure you choose a weight that allows you to perform your exercises precisely and comfortably. The quality of your movements is more important than the weight you lift.At the end of your workout, your muscles should have been used, but you should still have some energy left.

How to improve your performance with your dumbbells

Start each session with a good warm-up using light weights to prepare your body properly. If you're a beginner, choose dumbbells from 0.5 kg upwards to ensure you perform each movement perfectly.Over time, gradually increase the load.Increase by 0.5 kg every two sessions to push your limits and maximise your progress!

From extraction to production, metal has a high environmental footprint. To help reduce it, we use recycled metal in this product — sourced from recovered scrap, sorted, shredded, and melted down in electric furnaces, which are far less energy-intensive than traditional coal-fired blast furnaces. The result: the same performance as virgin metal, with a lower environmental impact: – 40% less energy used – 19% fewer CO2eq emissions – and fewer raw materials extracted
