TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Eco-design

We have chosen to use a more eco-friendly dyeing process for the main fabric

Dyeing fabric requires lots of water but also gets rid of waste water from the dyeing baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we have chosen a mass-dyeing process (also called Dope Dye), integrating the colour pigments from the thread's manufacture.

As such, we reduce the CO2 emissions by 15% compared to the old model.

Water repellent properties info

These trousers feature water-repellent areas (front of lower-leg, seat) that prevent water from entering the fabric. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.
The water repellent property slows down water ingress and prevents the trousers from getting wet too fast but will not keep you dry under steady rain. To do this, we recommend to wear over-trousers, ref 8504646.
Water repellence can be reactivated by tumble drying the trousers for 10 min on low temperature

Sizing information

Uses a stretchable fabric on the buttocks and knees guaranteeing a high level of comfort in terms of movement and adaptability to different body shapes.

Hybrid composition for greater durability

On the buttocks and knees, there is the combination of a very resistant (157 g/m²) and stretchable fabric. It is made from Ripstop which avoids tearing and its stretchable nature makes moving easier.
On other parts of the trousers, the fabric is lightweight and breathable (130 g/m2).

Resistance

The main fabric is made from Ripstop, able to avoid tears.

Tips for storage and maintenance

Any type of ironing allowed.

Maximum wash temperature of 30°C. Very moderate treatment.

Do not tumble dry.

Maximum wash temperature 70°C. Normal treatment.

Ironing at a maximum iron soleplate temperature of 200°C.

TESTS AND WARRANTY

Test product

These trousers have been tested and validated in the field in real conditions. In April and May 2019, they were worn for 5 consecutive weeks by several people outside Décathlon who undertook 2 weeks trekking in the Canary islands followed by 3 weeks on the GR10 routes in the Pyrenees.
