TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

How it was designed...

This model is entirely designed and approved by our team, at the foot of Mont Blanc.
To fulfil the anti-shock promise, we have chosen this system with a spring integrated in the screw tightening system.
We then designed a handle that enables powerful and comfortable grip whatever the position: along the tube for climbs and banking terrain, with the wrist-strap for efficient pushing and on the knob for descents.

How to adjust your poles to the correct length?

Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust the length: unscrew the middle section, find the size of the pole you need and screw back tightly. Tighten more if you notice that the pole shortens as you use it. repeat with the lower section. Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.

Directions for use

These hiking poles are designed to help you balance, propel yourself and spread the effort between the arms and legs.
To increase safety, before you start and at regular intervals, check your pole's locking mechanism by pressing down hard on it.
Do not put them on backpacks in stormy weather.

Care instructions

Maintaining your poles properly enable you to maintain optimal function and increases their lifespan.
After use, if water has got into the pole, take the parts apart and allow to dry. Clean any dust and mud with water or without, with a soft brush or paintbrush.
Once dry, you can reassemble the parts. We recommend that you do not try to oil or grease them.

Why sell them individually?

At Decathlon, we have decided to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. First because of how they are used. Indeed, some people only want to use one pole. This meets their needs.
Second, because if one of your poles breaks, you can buy only one pole rather than a pair.

Tips for storage and maintenance

Storage tips

Store the poles without tightening the adjustment system, to avoid stress and retain their hold power. Store poles in a dry place.

TESTS AND WARRANTY

Test product

To set our thresholds, we have measured the stresses on the poles in the most demanding situations. During the design stage, each model passes laboratory tests that reproduce these stresses; etc.) until rupture. We also tests parts separately (tightening power, tearing, etc). Finally, these tests are regularly repeated during production to guarantee constant quality.

Warranty

2 Years

Agree by

Our field testers. In addition to these laboratory tests, Théo, our trial engineer ensures that each model also passes the test on standardised test terrains. They enable us to confirm comfort, ease of adjustment, vibrations, etc. Finally, durability is also confirmed with a durability test mission that can be up to 500 km long.
