TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

GLOVES DEVELOPED IN THAILAND.

The Muay Thai Gloves 500 were developed with the Decathlon Thailand teams in order to perfectly meet the needs of Thai boxing.
They were tested and approved by intermediate Muay Thai boxers.

GLOVES SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR MUAY THAI.

Muay Thai is a special form of kickboxing in which grabs and throws are permitted during combat. So it is common for boxers to grab each others' torsos or neck.
To make these grabs easier, gloves should be soft and flexible; thanks to the glove's foam layer construction, it is easier to open and close the hand. The cuff is also very short, which allows the wrist to bend more easily.

WHY WEAR WRAPS OR INNER GLOVES?

For optimal protection of your hands and gloves, be sure to wear:
- INNER GLOVES that are easy to put on. They stop your hands rubbing and absorb perspiration to make your gloves last longer.
OR
- BOXING WRAPS, a basic boxing accessory!
They are designed to support your joints (metacarpals and wrists) while absorbing perspiration.

WHICH SIZE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

The size of gloves is given in ounces (the measurement used worldwide for boxing gloves).
Boxers choose their gloves based on their body weight and the kind of boxing they do.

Tips for storage and maintenance

Drying in a tumble dryer possible. Normal temperature, maximum exhaust air temperature of the drum 80°C.

Maximum wash temperature of 30°C. Very moderate treatment.

Iron at a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C.

Maximum wash temperature 70°C. Normal treatment.

Ironing at a maximum iron soleplate temperature of 200°C.

Storage tips

Remember to take your gloves out of your sports bag after every session to help them dry faster; you can also use our glove dryer.
