PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN

Baby's skin is very sensitive to the sun, because children's defence systems only become effective after the age of 3. For identical exposure, the effects of the sun are two to three times stronger on a child than on an adult. Therefore, it is important to protect them properly.

WHAT DOES UPF 50+ MEAN?

UPF is a worldwide standardised sun protection value (Ultra-Violet Protection Factor).
It defines the textile's degree of protection, and more precisely, the proportion of transmitted UV rays.
It must keep out at least 95% of UV rays to meet the standard. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.

BEHAVIOUR IN THE SUN?

Although this baby UV protection hat provides protection from the sun, other factors such as reflections (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, and so on, must be taken into account. Wearing this hat does not exempt the wearer from following the relevant advice: wear sunglasses, regularly apply suitable sun cream, wear a UV protection top or shorty suit, drink regularly, etc.

Tips for storage and maintenance

Any type of ironing allowed.
Maximum wash temperature of 30°C. Very moderate treatment.
Iron at a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C.
Maximum wash temperature 70°C. Normal treatment.
Ironing at a maximum iron soleplate temperature of 200°C.

Restrictions on use

Only body parts covered by the UV-protection hat are protected.

Test product

UV protection hat developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.

All of our sun protection components are laboratory tested by our engineers. They meet the current standard: EN 13758-2. We systematically conduct tests on all of the materials used before starting production. We also have our own measuring equipment to supplement external laboratory tests. The products are laboratory tested when wet and dry, as well as in use whilst worn.
