Please read the terms and conditions outlined below very carefully. The domain name www.decathlon.co.za (“the website”) is owned by Decathlon South Africa Pty (Ltd) a subsidiary of Decathlon Société and a member of the Decathlon Group. The website is operated by Decathlon, a company duly incorporated in terms of the company laws of the Republic of South Africa with the registration number 2015/118486/07.

These website terms and conditions govern the buyers’ use of the website and services. When the buyers transact on the website, the buyer will be subject to the policies that are applicable to the website for the transactions. By using this website, the buyer acknowledges being in contract with Decathlon and these terms and conditions (including the policies) constitutes the buyer’s binding obligations to Decathlon.

The buyer’s purchase of any items offered on www.decathlon.co.za is subject to these terms and conditions and by placing an order for any product, the buyer agrees to be bound by them. The buyer confirms that he/she is of full age or has received parental permission to transact on our website.

When the buyer uses any of the services provided by Decathlon through the website, including but not limited to Product Reviews, the buyer will be subject to the rules, guidelines, policies, terms, and conditions applicable to such a service and will be deemed incorporated into these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions contain specific provisions to limit our liability. These terms and conditions have been set out in capital letters. You should pay particular attention to these terms since they limit your ability to recover losses that you may incur in connection with your use of the website.


In addition to these terms and conditions, the following additional terms also apply to your use of Decathlon.co.za and its associated features:

Our Website Terms of Use which govern use of Decathlon.co.za itself;

Our Privacy Policy and our Cookies Policy which govern use of your personal information submitted to or via Decathlon.co.za;

Our Membership General Information which govern your use of your decathlon account; and

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time by changing them on Decathlon.co.za, although no such change will affect any order you have already placed with us. It is the buyers responsibility to familiarize themselves with the most recent terms and conditions every time the buyer places an order for products.

You may not access this website for any purpose other than for utilizing the services offered on it in the normal manner. You must not access our site for the purpose of redistributing or otherwise using any of our content for your own business purposes unless you are expressly licensed thereto by us in writing. You may not use your access to this website in a manner that would bring us or our business into disrepute. Furthermore, you may nit access this site for unlawful purposes or use it in a manner which infringes our rights or the rights of any other person or restricts or inhibits the use or enjoyment of this website by any other person. In this regard, you must comply with the laws, regulations and codes of conduct applicable to your use of this website.



buyer” will mean any natural or legal person who has agreed to become a buyer on the website by registering on the website as a buyer

Decathlon”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Decathlon South Africa Pty (Ltd)

website” refer to the website decathlon.co.za

working days” refer to trading hours starting from 08:00h to 18:00h Monday to Friday excluding Saturdays, Sundays and statutory South African public holidays.

order” refers to the collective items in the buyer’s cart that the buyer has purchased online

items” The products online that the buyer has chosen while constructing their respective carts

“products” refers to all products and services listed on decathlon.co.za for purchase, including but not limited to delivery, sport apparel and nutrition products


Conditions of Website Use

To be able to buy any products from the website, the buyer warrants the following:

The buyer is least 18 years of age to register as a buyer on our website

The buyer is transacting under the supervision and monitoring of a legal guardian should the buyer be a minor

The buyer will only transact on our website after having read thoroughly the terms and conditions

The buyer agrees to use our products and services according to the sport that the product was manufactured to perform exceptional in, and the use the service in accordance to the applicable laws and policies governed by third parties.

If the buyer has a Decathlon account, the buyer is responsible for the information provided on the account and agrees that by uploading information into the account, all the information provided is current, accurate and correct

The user agrees to provide accurate, complete and current information and will not impersonate a third party or misrepresent themselves.

Buyer’s Account and Registration Obligations

The Buyer is free to use the website without having registered on www.decathlon.co.za. The buyer will however be required to register on www.decathlon.co.za should they wish to transact on our website. Buyers already registered will be required to provide log in details when they wish to make a new purchase from the website, after having logged-off their previous section (only if they did not save their password and username on their search engines).

When the buyer uses the website and/or sends emails (or any forms of communication), the buyer acknowledges that he/she is communicating with Decathlon using electronic records. In turn, Decathlon can also communicate with the customer through email and other forms of communication in response to the buyer’s query.

The buyer will be held liable for the maintenance of all confidentiality of the buyer’s display name and password. The buyer will also be responsible for all activities that occur under the buyer’s display name.

Price and Payment


The prices of products quoted on www.decathlon.co.za is as quoted in stores from time to time. All products are quoted in South African Rands and include VAT. Delivery costs are excluded from the price of products quoted on our website and will be automatically calculated and added to your final basket amount due once you have chosen your method of delivery.

The Decathlon South Africa website www.decathlon.co.za contains a large number of products that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on the website may be incorrectly priced. Upon realizing that the actual price of the product is less than the amount the buyer has paid, we will charge the buyer the actual price and refund the outstanding balance.

The website displays a large variety of Decathlon’s products. Orders will be subject to availability of products.


Delivery costs can change at anytime but will not affect the buyer who has already paid for delivery. Payments for orders must be made by debit or credit cards via Pay U, SID, and EFT. www.decathlon.co.za does not accept payment made through gift cards and/or vouchers.

As soon as your payment is validated, we will start the picking of your items from our respective layouts. Should we find that your order is short in stock, we will notify you and you will be presented with the opportunity to choose between requesting a refund or choosing another item worth the same value as the item that has run out of stock.

Gift Cards and Vouchers

The Website does not facilitate for gift cards and vouchers. Presently, only the Alberton Concept store offers gift cards. Vouchers are distributed during Decathlon events which can only be redeemed at the Decathlon Alberton Concept store.


Door-to-Door Delivery

Decathlon uses The Courier Guy and DSV to deliver parcels to customers country wide. All parcels couriered with The Courier Guy are strictly door-to-door deliveries. We do not deliver outside the boarders of South Africa. Orders cannot be delivered to P.O Box or similar addresses.

For all products purchased on www.decathlon.co.za delivery is offered as a service and Decathlon will subsidies the delivery fee on behalf of the buyer for all national deliveries. Local delivery fees for parcels that weigh between 0 -3 kilograms are fully transferred to the buyer and will only be subsidized under exceptional circumstances.

All products purchased within the respective Decathlon South Africa stores are subject to third party delivery rates should the customer require delivery of store purchases.

Locker Deliveries

Parcels couriered through DSV are to be collected from the respective collection points as agreed with the buyer and Decathlon. The buyer will be required to locate the locker from which he/she would like to collect the parcel from. The customer will receive notifications from both DSV and www.decathlon.co.za about the status of the parcel and its whereabouts.

A list of collection points is available when choosing the locker delivery service. If you choose this service, your entire order will be sent to the locker which will serve as your collection point.

Should the buyer fail to collect the parcel from the locker within 48 hours, the parcel will be notified that the parcel will be shipped back to Decathlon Alberton and the buyer will be required to pay an extra courier cost to get the parcel delivered again.

Click and Collect

Should the buyer choose click and collect as a method of delivery from our website, the buyer will be required to collect their parcel from the store they have requested the click and collect order from. Click and Collects will be ready for collections within 4 hours after validation of payment.

Products cannot be set aside for customers for more than 48 hours at a time. After this time period has elapsed, we return the item to the layout and we will consider that you have exercised your right to cancel your request.

Returns & Exchanges

A buyer who has bought an item from www.decathlon.co.za has the opportunity to exchange an item twice. Should the customer choose to exchange their items more than two times, they will then be qualified for a refund when the items have been collected from the buyer’s address.

If the product sent to the buyer is not what the buyer was promised in terms of, but not limited to, quality, product specification or the wrong product being sent, the customer can choose to return the product for either an exchange for a similar item, an item that costs the same as the returned item, or for a refund.

Risk and Ownership

ITEMS ORDERED WILL BE AT YOUR OWN RISK FROM THE TIME OF DELIVERY OR COLLECTION. All couriered products above the amount of R1000 will be insured with the courier company. Should you incur damage to your order because of the negligence of either Decathlon, The Courier Guy, and DSV, your order will be fully reimbursed or you will receive a new order free of charge.

Ownership of the items ordered will pass to you on delivery or collection provided full payment of all sums due in respect of the products.

Intellectual Property

The content posted on the website is subject to property rights protected under intellectual property laws, including, but not limited to, designs, trademarks, domain names, patents, know-how, software or database rights. Both Decathlon and the Decathlon Group and its partners retain ownership of all such Content displayed on www.decathlon.co.za and any associated rights

Limitation of Liability

The User hereby agrees and understands that, from time to time, Decathlon and/or Decathlon group may have to temporarily suspend access to www.decathlon.co.za for technical reasons. The user acknowledges the characteristics and limitations inherent with the internet. Therefore, www.decathlon.co.za cannot be held liable for:

Loss of Data

Software malfunction and the consequence of computer virus, computer bug, anomaly or failure

Damage to the User’s computer
