Charging handle broke after 2 months of use. Was just used about the house and on a couple of camping trips. Will be seeing about a refund/replacement next time I'm in our nearest shop.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your experience with this torch. If you feel that this is a warranty issue, please feel free to return it to your local store for a refund or an exchange. I will also ensure that the design team reads your review.
Very bad. This light stopped working after one day. Terrible technology.
Firstly thank you for sharing your feedback on the Dynamo 100 torch. To be able to give the best advice I like to look at the reviews shared across the different websites. Largely the feedback is positive (4.2/5 from 80+ customers). There is another customer who has fed back regarding a discharged battery.
It is possible for batteries to become completely discharged and can be difficult to take a charge afterwards. It's can be possible to recharge the battery with a long wind up but I would recommend that you return the light to a Decathlon store for an exchange or if you prefer a refund. If you do exchange feel free to take a minute in store to test the light works and recharges if you prefer to have the extra piece of mind.

Got one of these for christmas and sighed cos I'd asked for a bigger dynamo lantern. Then tried it out and was pleasantly surprised.
It measures roughly 82 x 45 x 35 mm, and for its size it emits an impressively bright beam.
It's not a "lenser" so no changeable focus. The power switch cycles through 4 settings: off, on, dim, and pulsating. I think even the dim setting is, amazingly, brighter than my keychain Maglite(smallest one which takes 1 AAA battery).
It has a detachable loop-through strap like you'd get with a point-and-click camera. The winding handle is 55mm long with a separate rotating piece at the end like a bike pedal. When not in use, the handle folds down along the side of the torch with the end piece tucking into a purpose placed indent at the end of the torch. It's no deal breaker(!) but the handle could have been designed better, so that it locked folded shut when not in use instead of being free to flap about; and they could have moulded the outside of the handle so it fits the profile of the torch better, making it easier to hold. As it stands it protrudes more than it needs to. I'm also a little curious how long that handle will last as it's all plastic with a pretty flimsy looking hinge. Maybe it's stronger than it looks though.
For better grip the torch has a quasi-rubber u shaped coating that curves around the outside top and bottom.
The only thing I can't comment on yet is how long it emits light once charged. It's easy enough to wind at 3 revs per second.
I think this is a really great buy as a pocket torch. And I've had a few.
handle could be bet and might not last too long
Excellent value for money. Comes in various colours which are all nice. Very easy to use and very handy. Excellent size so it can be kept in your pocket. This product was brought for my 3 year old son (as he picked it out) and he loves it. Very happy with my purchase.
Easy on and off button. Easy to wind up.
