Technical Information

1
Why wear this knee support?
The Soft 300 knee support can be used as a preventative measure by applying the compression that you need to support your joint and stimulate proprioception when playing sport (basketball, football, handball, tennis, badminton, running, trail running, gymnastics, judo).
2
What is proprioception?
Proprioception is the ability to know where the different parts of your body are in space. The better your proprioception, the better your balance and the more controlled your movements. It also helps prevent the risk of injury.
3
Why protect your knees?
The knee is an important joint that is used heavily for sports activities. It absorbs impacts and stabilises you as well as withstanding huge stresses, particularly when running, jumping, landing and changing direction.

Gives good support to my knee
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Gives good support to my knee and so am very pleased with it.
All good so far
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Not tried in anger yet (that comes in 3 or 4 days of full on offshore yacht racing next month) just for a bit of hiking but it fits well and seems to offer good support, just what I need for the knee with the year old snapped quads tendon that is still a little bit weak when it gets tired.
The tag is very big, can we remove it
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The tag inside is very big and causes discomfort to my dad, everytime he uses it. Can we remove it? Also it's stitched to the seam on the inside, if we remove it, will it be a problem. Please respond.
Ones brace
Used for 3 to 6 months
Comfortable to wear washes well in machine and dries in perfect shape in dryer
Soft300 adult knee race black
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Excellent. Well designed, strong and fits comfortably.
Gives the right amount of support.
Good for a thin bandage
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is a decent thinner bandage, by that I mean it isn't one of the thicker neoprene type so won't give that level of support. But if thinner is what you're after then this one seems ok to me.
Decent quality product
No negatives really
Lost compression and became loose and baggy.
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The support soon became very loose and baggy, which meant it slipped down my leg every half a mile, pretty annoying when you're running a marathon.
worked very well for around 100 miles
Lost its compression very quickly
Response of the brand
Hi Mark,

I'm sorry you had a problem with the Aptonia Soft 300 Knee Support, and more so that it effected your marathon.

Following feedback from the product manager it could be a case that the product is defective, in which case you are welcome to return or exchange the knee support.

If you do choose to exchange please ask a sports adviser to measure your knee to ensure the correct size.  I can be the case that if the support is overly tight that it can put additional wear on the elastic in the support.

Kind regards,

David Daker Commercial Director DECATHLON

Response of the brand
Hi Joseph,

Firstly I would recommend taking medical advice before running on an injured knee.  Without knowing what the injury is then I would not recommend any form of support or running.

If you have been advised by a doctor of physio that your injury allows you to run with a low level of support then the Soft 300 does offer compression and moisture wicking to give comfort at a moderate level of activity.

If you scroll through the photos you have a guide to the sizing of the supports and an indication of where you need to measure.

Kind regards,

David Daker Commercial Director DECATHLON
