This thermal mug holds slightly over a standard sized mug of hot drink. If you warm it before use, as you would with any thermal cup, it will keep your hot drinks hot from morning until afternoon. The teabag holder/ coffee strainer is an interesting feature that I have yet to try out but it also seems to stop any splashes that usually jump out if you drink whilst walking.
I haven't tried it with cold drinks yet but I have no doubt it will perform equally as good!
The size of it is roughly the same as a 500ml bottle of water so it fits into the side pocket of most back packs / day sacks. As it's available in different colours I might just have to get another one!
Value for money
This is great for taking coffee to work or on a shorter walk. Does not stay hot as long as a traditional flask but is fine for travelling or shorter walks. I take mine every day to work in my bike pannier or rucksack. Nice to drink from and robust. Great value - much cheaper than other brands.
I used the mug and was very happy because it keeps the tea hot and no taste changes. But after using for four days now there is leaks of tea and can't even drink from it because of leak. But will give one more try by replacing it.
Thanks for your feedback on the Quechua isothermal hiking mug. I regret to hear that you have not been completely satisfied with the mug and apologise for the inconvenience caused by it leaking. I shall be sure to pass your comments on to the product design team. To date these have been reliable so once replaced I should hope the issue is resolved. Please drop back into the store so we replace or refund for you. Chris Allen UK Market Manager DECATHLON
Good insulation with the bonus of a metal filter. 'Dishwasherproof'
Just the job when u watch ur son play football on a cold Sunday morning
Had some tea out of one of these after walking for 3 hours in freezing temperatures. It was warm but by no means hot. My friend had a proper thermos which still had steam coming off it.
Light and easy to clean
Not as good as a thermos
Hi, I am sorry to hear that you had issues with the Isothermal 0.4L Mug flask. I am not sure if you aware but before you put your hot drink in, you should put a couple of inches of boiling water in the bottom and leave it for a few minutes. Once it has been a few minutes, you then tip out the water and put your hot drink in.
If you have tried this and you still have the same issue, then please return it to your local store so then they can arrange an exhange or refund for you.

It is a perfect size, can take it anywhere and it also fits wherever I want to put it :) and works just perfect, never leeks and keeps the drink warm for very long time. For me this is "how we do it" !;))
compact size, never leeks, keeps warm long time
I am impressed with these lil things, quality product.
Keeps drinks warm, is easy to clean.
Nothing bad to report.
I bought the previous version but salt dropped & cracked the plastic collar. I was delighted to see a new & improved version on sale. When it arrived I realised new & improved means smaller & meaner. Not even big enough to take an average "small coffee". I wish I could just replace the plastic collar from my old one. Hence disappointed!
It works fine
I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience with this Quechua Mug. I have already forwarded your feedback to our product manager in France, and they answered me you are right they have reduced the size of the mug from 0,4 l to 0,35 l. They will correct the information as soon as possible.
If you are not satisfied with the product you can return it anytime to your closest store or via online process for an exchange or refund.
If you would like to try another model I would recommend you these insulated bottles:
