Additional recommended products
"Rain-Cut Pant" overtrousers protect the lower body and provide comprehensive, highly-effective protection from the wind and rain showers. Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment: To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
Waterproof component
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9
Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received water-repellent treatment.
Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Decathlon volunteered to take part in this environmental display process. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Incredible Value
Used for 3 to 6 months
This little rain jacket is perfect to put in your daypack in case you get caught out in the rain. It is really lightweight, packs up really well, and is great value for the price. I have used it in the Blue Mountains when an unexpected storm passed through the area, and it did an incredible job at keeping me dry. Sure, I may pack something more substantial if I am heading out on a multi-day hike or there is forecasted significant showers, but this is perfect if I am just going out on a day hike and not expecting much of a downpour.
