Technical Information

How to measure tyre wear?
To measure the wear on your tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. The tread comes into direct contact with the terrain you are cycling on and therefore determines your tyre's performance. A tyre needs to be changed when the centre knobs are worn down to the same height as the side knobs.
How to remove a tyre
To remove your tyre, first deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.
How to fit a tyre
To put the tyre back on, place one side of the tyre into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 10% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, insert the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tyre and the rim.
How to inflate your tyre correctly
Inflate your tyre carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tyre as well as on its product sheet (available online). Before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.
Tip from the pros
When inflating your tyre, be sure to inflate it to the correct pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and especially the weather conditions. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre's traction. When riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.

Response of the brand
Dear Sir,
Such bad luck getting puncture so soon. Was it a thorn or a tyre pinch? Was it on the sidewall or through the tread? Where were you riding when it happened? I'd like to feed this back to b'Twin.
If you are not happy with your tyre then please feel free to return it to us for a refund or a replacement.

Excellent tyres

Tyrs appear well made, with an excellent tread pattern, and I can really feel the difference compared to my old set.
They ride exceptionally well, and are a pleasure to have on my bike.

Great spares for MTB on Road Surfaces
Used for 1 week or less
I'm training on my MTB for a 60mile road event. After reading that off road tyres increase friction on road surfaces I wanted to try a budget pair of slicker tyres to see if I could tell the difference. I've completed my usual 15 mile circuit this afternoon and the Strava app is telling me that I was faster on all sections. Average speed has increased from 19km/h to 22km/h!! Well pleased! If going anywhere muddy I will put my other tyres back on as the grip profile on these is pretty minimal, but for the price these are a real bargain pair of spares. On a less important side note - they look great!
Noticeably faster on tarmac
A little twisted at first but seem to have settled
Great all rounder
Great tyre for tarmac and occasional off roading. My first pair lasted around 500 miles before the bike was stolen. No issues with punctures that entire time and by that stage they were quite well worn. Second pair replaced the mud pluggers on my full suspension bike and there was an instantly noticeable improvement on road. Average speed over my 20 mile route increased by nearly 2mph. Grip in wet muddy conditions isn't brilliant but certainly better than a road focused tyre and perfectly useable with care. For tow paths and forest fire roads these are great. Highly recommended.
