Worn once
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Worn once. 2nd time as a beginner on an indoor wall. Right shoe pinched a little but I think they need a little bit more wear yet. Very happy with product so far.
As far as i know
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
These are effective shoes at a good price
Great so far
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
My first time and these seem great!
Poor quality shoe
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The front rubber toe area of the shoes are delaminating from the shoe itself. I have only used these shoes three times and find this defect to be caused by 'normal' wear and is disappointing. Overall construction of the shoe is also poor quality - would suggest paying more for a better all-round shoe
Response of the brand
Hello David,

I am sorry to hear that the Simond Rock Climbing Shoes did not meet your expectations. From your description it sounds like their is a fault with the glue.

If you take the shoes to your nearest store, with your proof of purchase, then they will be able to find a solution for.

We do have the New Rock+ Shoes from Simond as well that might be more suited to your needs:

Many Thanks

They are ok
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The where too small but the heel was too big
Cheapest shoes going, relatively new climber.
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The shoes fit well and do a good job, if you’ve got spare cash get a better pair but these are a great first pair of shoes. Would recommend.
Good solid product
Used for 1 week or less
Good price for a strong and sturdy product.

Have only just started the sport and my instructor praised this product which is another worthy endorsement to pass on.
Brilliant value, not super technical
Used for More than 2 years
Great first shoe, I got a pair four years ago and only just got rid. Not as technical as shoes that are three times the price but I can vouch that they're sticky enough for low E grades and easy grade 7 sport routes.
Used for More than 2 years
I learned to climb in these. Had them for 2+ years now and they're still in great shape - though I've only ever worn them indoors. They're a perfectly decent beginner's shoe and I don't plan on getting new ones anytime soon.
Sturdy well made but dont do the job as no grip
Used for 3 to 6 months
Bought these shoes 6 months ago in France in Alps for rock climbing and thought the were super slippy even on dry rocks. On return have used a number of times indoor but again no grip for anything other than big foot holds. Have gone back to old climbing shoes with hole in toe for indoor and will have to buy new ones for next outdoor sesh! So ok for beginners if never had any rock climbing shoes as better than trainers but only because of shape ie stiffness. The actually rubber is so hard that it offers no grip and just slips. you get what you pay for - invest another 20 in some shoes with better grip
Response of the brand
Hello David,

Thank you for reviewing the Rock Climbing Shoes. I am sorry to hear that they did not meet your expectations.

As you mentioned in your review the Rock Climbing Shoes are best used for a Beginner. This is the User they were designed for; the shape, structure and stiffness being made for those climbers who are just starting and will be using the large holds as much as possible to feel confident and safe while on the rock.

We do have a number of other Climbing Shoes available for the more Advanced and Expert Climber such as:

The Vuarde Plus

or the Edge

Decathlon will also be stocking new types of Climbing Shoes this Summer for the more Advanced climber.

I hope this helps and once again thank you for reviewing the Rock Climbing Shoes
