Welcome to Decathlon hub

During the inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards in 2000, Nelson Mandela said “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair. It is more powerful than governments in breaking down racial barriers. It laughs in the face of all types of discrimination." We as Decathlon South Africa have been inspired by these words and have drawn inspiration from them for our latest project. The aim of which is to do exactly what Nelson Mandela dreamt of, connect people through sport. We want to use this project to connect people no matter their race, their culture or their socio-economic standing. We have created a place where people can connect through a common love of sport, health and wellness. We have created what we call our community containers that are aimed at helping underprivileged entrepreneurs grow their business and give them a safe place to sell their products and services in a way that enhances the Sports Hub.
